Blue Like Jazz has been a book at the top of my list for several years. I truly enjoyed how Donald Miller simply presented Christ to the masses. His presentation wasn’t a Christian self-help book or some sort of whim about how this prayer will change your life. He elegantly reveals one man’s attempt to share Christ.
Move forward a few years and he get’s contact by Steve Taylor. Yes, that Steve Taylor and how he wants to option the book from Don. Don spends his time thinking about the story we are telling and what conflict in a story means. He questions the reader to ask, “what is the story you are telling?” Through a series of circumstances, don writes a book about the account and then , before you know it, the movie loses funding.
In drops two strangers who help build the financial support the movie needs, one dollar at a time, through KickStarter. The movie gets funded and Steve Finishes the film.
Now I await in excitement!
