Rich Aucion – ATX – Red 7
The first time, I heard Rich Aucoin it was an accident. One of those well timed accidents. I stood at Club Deville impatiently waiting for some band I wanted to see. Everything about SXSW filled the air. The deep heat of spring wrapped her arms around me and didnt let me do anything but sweat.
I had about 45 minutes to blow before the band I wanted to see. I looked at my schedule and thought, I could leave now and see XXX band around the corner or I could stand here and have a great place for YYY band who is on after this guy.
This guy turned out to be Rich Aucoin.
From the moment he said go, I was enthralled. He had everyone in the crowd waiting for his next command. When he said ‘sing’, you sang. When he said ‘dance’, you danced. When he said hug your neighbor, you hugged.
Rich has a way of making people smile. He has a gift with stringing strangers into new found friends.
Rich is amazing. And that is all I really can say about that.
