Magnificat /// Austin + Fort Worth, Texas
Electronic + Indie Rock + Worship – Inactive /// August 2003 to July 2010
A resting place. Magnificat was the home of Thomas Edward Shoemake, Jason Elias Delgado and myself. Later Jason migrated on. But I am not sure if I would have made through college without Thomas’ friendship. We wanted to change the way worship was done in churches and bring scripture to life in a new way. Often sacred music is mediocre at best. Magnificat wanted to change the public perception.
In All His Splendour + In All Her Sincerity
Band – Inactive /// November 2001 to June 2003
Keeping it simple. This is was a moniker I played under for several solo dates. Just me and a guitar. Sometimes you need to be reminded where the songs came from. David Ramirez has a great line. “I don’t know what love is, but I know what it is not.” This is what I learned during this time. A beautiful struggle, but completely necessary.
The Whisper Campaign /// El Paso, Texas
College + Indie Rock Band – Inactive /// June 1998 to December 2001
Going national. TWC booked multiple tours for as many as 45 days and played as often as we could. We added a cello to a standard back rock backdrop. This is that band when you take your self really serious. The kind of serious that allows you to do bigger things and get better shows. But like most bands, you lose focus of why you started and later you break up over “creative differences” as members want to restrict others from maturing artistically and emotionally. It was fun while it lasted.
Project for Pablo /// El Paso, Texas
Indie Rock Band – Inactive /// November 1996 to May 1998
A band with a purpose. This band took many shapes and forms over it’s time. We play anything and everything we could get our hands on. consisting of cello, drums, guitar, toy pianos, bass, penny whistles and a slew of other orphanes items. Project for Pablo was the name of my grandfather and our desire to reunite with him.

Plane Jane /// El Paso, Texas
Acoustic Band – Inactive /// August 1993 to September 1994
My first band. This is the band you have when you first realize that you want to create music. Some songs were great. Most were bad. But this is the band helped me learn to listen to music in a new way and taught me what it take to throw a show. Still makes me smile when I think about debating music with Chris Rohloff. High School.
